Stopping cross sections
We present empirical analytical parametrizations for the energy dependence of the electronic stopping cross section for swift ions in matter. The used analytical function is introduced in J. Meersschaut, S. Meersschaut, J.-P. SouliƩ and R. Heller, Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research B 553 (2024) 165406.
Every SCS-file represents an instance of the parametrization of the stopping cross section for all the ions in 74 elementary materials. The meaning of the different parameter files will be explained in a forthcoming publication by Johan Meersschaut, Simon Meersschaut and Mathias Meersschaut (2025)
